On the last day of February, I was able to do the first solo ascent of the testpiece “Land am Strome” (Pinnsialm, Stubaital) which was first ascended by Andi Orgler & P. Haas in 1991 and originally rated M7-/ WI7- !
On 28.02.2022 – the day of my solo ascent – the whole line was in ice conditions so I would suggest the grade WI 6+/7-
I did not plan this solo. I just went there alone to check the ice conditions and fell in love with this beautyful line… there was no other way than to climb it!
